Education Management Support Project for Refugees and Host Communities

Windle International Uganda Education Management Project

WIU is implementing the Education Management Support Project for Refugees and Host Communities with funding from Education Cannot Wait (ECW).

Started in only two refugee settlements in South Western Uganda, the project has since expanded and is now being implemented in Kyaka II, Kiryandongo, Kyangwali, Nakivale and Palorinya refugee settlements.

The project’s goals are delivered through infrastructural development, distribution of scholastic and instructional materials, teachers’ capacity building, provision of school furniture and the promotion of child protection and safeguarding. Over 50,579 learners and more than 200 teachers have benefited from the project.
